FILMMAKERS IN ATTENDANCE AT THE 2025 FESTIVAL
ERIC HUSKISSON & P.J. STARKS
Starks and Huskisson are the co-owners of Blood Moon Pictures. They started their company back in 2015 after the cult success of Volumes of Blood. Since then they have produced three other features including the 2017 sequel VOB: Horror Stories, the 2021 holiday horror anthology 13 Slays Till X-mas and the current holiday horror comedy New Fears Eve.
Eric Huskisson has acted in other projects such as the hit TV show Nashville among others as well as produced the 2015 ANOES fan film The Confession of Fred Krueger.
P.J. Starks has created several popular event series including the long running Unscripted short film series in his home town. He has also served as an Executive Producer on a myriad of indie productions including the 10/31 franchise, Angel, E-Demon, Close Calls, Cryptids, and the forthcoming films The Boy from Below as well as the Troma produced Sweet Meats.
NICK WERNHAM
Nick Wernham is a filmmaker from Toronto, Canada. A long time fan of horror films, THE LOST EPISODE is his third feature, but his first in the genre. It was a fantastic experience, working with a small but mighty cast and crew, comprised of friends old and new. He hopes to make many more scary movies in the future. Nick's two previous films were both comedies: NO STRANGER THAN LOVE (2015) and BUSINESS ETHICS (2019).
BARI KANG
Deeply rooted in his experience as a South Asian immigrant, Bari Kang’s film’s have earned favorable comparisons to the works of his longtime idols Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino. As a self-taught multi-hyphenate artist,
Kang’s cultural ties have shaped his work as a filmmaker; beginning with the deflating of a showbiz stereotype attributed to ethnic actors. He grew tired of watching colored performers “being pigeonholed.” That’s why he decided to create his own opportunities and continues to tell stories that he’s passionate about.
ITCH! is Bari's first foray into the world of horror.
ANTHONY GRANT
Anthony “Ant” Grant is a Canadian-American writer, actor, producer, and voice-over artist. As an actor, Grant has performed in over 30 television and film productions for major broadcasters such as BET, CBS, CTV, SyFy, ABC, Lifetime, Showcase, and Netflix. He has also graced the stage at the famous Producers Club Theater in New
York City. Ant’s feature film credits include a strong supporting role opposite Mads Mikkelsen in the action thriller feature film Polar, directed by Grammy Award-winning music video filmmaker icon Jonas Åkerlund, the independent feature film Heavy, starring Game of Thrones Sophie Turner and directed by Jouri Smit, and most recently, in Clement Virgo’s film, Brother. Ant also played opposite Michael Jai White in the feature Welcome to Sudden Death on Netflix for Universal Pictures. Ant’s keen sense of storytelling has also allowed him to write and develop his own projects, selling original pitches to various producers. Ant has since written and story-edited several series for CBC GEM and Marblemedia.

BENJAMIN CAPPS
Award winning filmmaker and stop motion animator Benjamin Capps came to Chicago after receiving his degree in Theatre from the University of Missouri, Columbia. While an undergraduate, Benjamin founded The Inner Below in order to produce his own experimental theatre, with an emphasis on expanding on Antonin Artaud's theories of Theatre of Cruelty.
Having written, directed, produced and acted in numerous stage-productions, Benjamin transitioned to film-making, now having made ten short-films. His current focus is Retro Science Fiction, Body Horror and Stop Motion experimentation. Additionally, he has been a professional musician for over twenty five years.

Nick Rohr is the creative director that runs Lemon Pulp Studios, both an independent comics and zines publishing label as well as an internationally awarded traditional animation studio. You can find the work on Instagram @lemonpulpstudios.

DANIEL WHEELER
Daniel Wheeler is a multidisciplinary artist based in Wisconsin, celebrated for his innovative approach to visual and auditory storytelling. With degrees in fine art and audio production, Daniel's work seamlessly blends traditional techniques with modern experimentation. His achievements include grants and fellowships from the Minnesota State Arts Board, gallery representation in New York City, and recent film awards from both NIFA and MIFA for his latest venture into short film.
PETER HOUSE
Peter House is from Cincinnati, OH and currently resides near Chicago, IL.
He has been producing digital marketing content as a Cinematographer/Director/Editor with INDIRAP Productions since 2014.
With an intrigue in various subgenres of Horror, he develops narratives to reflect that passion.
BLAKE MILLER
Based in Chicago, Blake grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and started making films about his family and friends in high school. He graduated with a degree in Cinema from San Francisco State University, has directed over 20 short films, a feature documentary, and spends way too much time reviewing movies on Letterboxd.
