What has been Australia's premier genre film festival for almost two decades, is now based in the USA!
Named by Dread Central as one of the world’s best horror film festivals for two years running, A Night of Horror International Film Festival has opened its call for entries in the following categories for the 2025 event (to be held again in Eau Claire, Wisconsin at the fantastic Micon Downtown Cinema):
FEATURES - DOCUMENTARIES - SHORTS - H. P. LOVECRAFT-INSPIRED SHORTS - ANIMATIONS - TV/WEB/NEW MEDIA - SCREENPLAYS
For close to 20 years, A Night of Horror International Film Festival has been dedicated to independent film and filmmakers. Our ongoing commitment to filmmakers who submit to the festival is that we reserve over 90% of all short film slots and over 50% of all feature film slots at the festival for films submitted through the festival's open submission process. Many festivals source the vast majority of the films they screen from sales agents, distributors, and other festivals. Unfortunately, this means that an independent filmmaker who submits their film through traditional channels has very little chance (and with some festivals, almost no chance) of having their film selected. Since the festival's founding, A Night of Horror has reserved over half of our programming slots for films that are submitted to the festival cold through our open submission process (ie via FilmFreeway). We remain very proud of this commitment to independent film and to our ongoing discovery of bold new talent, including world premieres from emerging filmmakers.
It has never been easier to enter the fest with our completely online submission process: DVD/Blu-ray screeners are no longer required or accepted.
Submit a YouTube or Vimeo screener of your film using FilmFreeway. FilmFreeway's HD upload system is fully integrated with both of these popular online video-sharing websites.
