Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, Australia's oldest genre specific film festival announces its 2016 call for entries.
“For ten years A Night of Horror International Film Festival has remained true to its original mandate: showcasing independent horror cinema from emerging filmmaking talent”, says festival director Dean Bertram. “Most festivals of similar scope source the bulk of their programs from sales agents, distributors and other festivals. But A Night of Horror remains committed to selecting the majority of films screened at the festival from those entered through the festival's open submission process.”
In 2016, A Night of Horror will again be taking place in conjunction with Fantastic Planet Film Festival. Together they provide Australia's leading showcase of independent genre specific films. Combined, the festivals screened over 100 films in 2015.
Both festivals retain independent programs and their own specific award categories. And together they remain dedicated to presenting Sydney audiences with a stunning showcase of the latest in independent horror, sci-fi, fantasy and cult cinema.
