2020 First Wave Programme Announcement: Deadhouse Presents A NIGHT OF HORROR 2020:

First Wave Program Announced

Deadhouse Presents A Night Of Horror International Film Festival announces its first wave of programming for its 2020 festival today. The twelfth annual Festival - a cinematic celebration of all things scary - takes place May 14 - 17, 2020, at Hoyts Broadway Cinemas in Sydney, Australia.

Australia’s original horror film festival, presented by Deadhouse, returns to delight fans of visceral frights and psychological thrills, of independent and international nightmare cinema.

“We've put together a striking and provocative mix of traditional and unconventional genre fare,” says Festival Program Director Bryn Tilly. “Fourteen features and more than thirty shorts, including two World Premiere features - Josh Reed’s ‘WE’RE NOT HERE TO FUCK SPIDERS’ and Sam Curtain’s ‘THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE KILLER’. The Festival also includes eleven Australian Premieres, an excellent International Shorts Showcase, our, always greatly anticipated, Australian Shorts Gala, and a (very special) 40th-anniversary screening of grindhouse cult favourite ‘MANIAC’.

Our Opening Night presentation, ‘STAY OUT STAY ALIVE’, features an abandoned goldmine of malevolent ghosts and madness. Elsewhere in the Festival, you’ll find an alien viral infestation, Central American witchcraft, evil doppelgängers, psychopaths, and all manner of diabolical beasts and supernatural weirdness.

Keep your eyes peeled for the complete program!”

Festival tickets will be released for sale soon.

Full program details, filmmakers, guests, and judging panel details will also be revealed soon.
